Amos Lee’s self titled album made a serious debut in March of 2005. Not only was it on the famous blues and jazz record label, Blue Note. But, it also featured the current radio darling Norah Jones. It seemed like out of nowhere everyone was talking about Amos Lee Keep it Loose Keep it Tight.
He had more to offer than what we had most recently come to expect from singer songwriter songs. There was depth in his lyrics. And his voice and songwriting style harkened back to the 60s and 70s troubadours.
The buzz continued with his live shows. He was booked on tours supporting Norah Jones, Zac Brown, and others. The song Colors was on the soundtrack for the movie Just Like Heaven. And he’s had lots of tv placements like Parenthood, ER, Conviction, House, Six Feet Under, Grey’s Anatomy, and more.

TWICE, LITTLE DRAGON
My focus for this video was to capture a vocal/organ performance from beginning to end with no editing. I used the beat machine on the organ as my metronome for all the other instruments. Although I have no issues with editing, I wanted to see how groovy I could make this song with no editing at all. Hope you like it!
BETTER LEARN TO FIGHT. This tune is about my move from Michigan to Virginia when I was 7. Its all true.
